One year and still cheerin'

As the first person of color to ever take on this role, hosting spirit assemblies in front of 1,400 students is a daunting challenge I am willing to embark on.

Every year, four pep rally leaders are chosen to represent the school, set a standard, and boost morale.

In this position, rally leaders host assemblies at least 4 times a year where all students converge to watch performances, skits, games, and much more in order to boost morale.

Our goal this year has been to recognize the essence of Campolindo High Schoolits students, teachers, and faculty—through clubs and sports. We strive to create an inclusive environment where every person feels represented.

My team and I entered through the gym's double doors . . . and the crowds went wild!

Winter Rally
January 12, 2024

Encouraged by the appreciation and positive feedback from the Homecoming rally, my team and I held the first ever Winter Rally, designed to boost morale at a time when school spirits are low. This has been one of the most fun and successful spirit assemblies, and we received heaps of compliments from students and faculty alike!

March Madness Rally

I will never forget the long nights I spent evaluating my application, or the feeling of euphoria that washed over me when I won the position and became the first person of color to take on this role. I will never forget the moment when we ran into the gym during the first rally, cheers and applause thundering through the room.

It is truly exhilarating to stand before 1,400 people, united as one.

Being a rally leader has been an invaluable experience. By broadcasting school events on social media, planning to improve student experiences, and organizing the actual spirit assemblies, I have learned the tact of communication, teamwork, and marketing. It has taught me to be fearless, and most importantly, it has taught me to believe in myself.
