Memoir: The Fine Line, by Meera Phadnis

The Fine Line

Teacher's Comments
The lead engages the reader from the start. It is especially successful because of the second sentence - there is a natural flow into the memoir. I feel your anxiety when Saanvi makes eye contact with you and you know she is going to tell Miss Leanne. No improvements necessary - it is a great memoir that hits all the necessary points for the assignment.

Teacher's Comments:

There is a lot to manage in your claim, and you do it effortlessly with your use of transitions (through words and punctuations). As always with your writing, you do an exceptional job at looking deeper into the concepts. I always walk away from your writing feeling like I learned something because you allow yourself to EXPLORE rather than just say the easiest idea. Clear quote selection allows for the connections to be thoughtful and effortless.
